So Which Do You Choose?
Desert
Critters that live in desert environments need low soil moisture and humidity. Generally there are not open water sources in the enclosure. That being said you can monitor the soil hygrometry, but it is not required.
Arboreal
Critters that live in arboreal environments need low to moderate soil moisture and moderate humidity. There is often open water sources in arboeal environments.
Tropical
Critters that live in tropical environments need higher soil moisture and humidity. There is generally open water sources in these enclosures. Some of the water sources need specific temperatures and water levels.
